The NOAA Coral Reef Watch (CRW) daily global 5km satellite year-to-date record-breaking sea
surface temperature (SST) product presented here shows the locations where maximum daily SSTs
so far during the current year have exceeded their historical maximum daily SSTs over the
period of 1985-2025 and the magnitudes of their excursions above the historical maximum values.
Note that the baseline time period for the historical maximum will change at the beginning of
every year to include one more year.
This product is updated each afternoon at about 13:30 U.S. Eastern Time.
