*************************************************************************** README For CWF 3.2.2 pre-release (build330) (Completed on Jan 15, 2007) *************************************************************************** NOTE: For users who upgrade the software from Version 3.2.1 to a 3.2.2 pre-release version: If you have any customized overlays and/or color palettes that you added in the user CWF settings directory and/or that you previously set up and saved in CDAT and you still want to keep them, please copy these files from the corresponding subdirectories to an outside location before the installation (you will need to copy them back to the corresponding subdirectories after the installation). Once you have done copying, remove the user CWF settings directory and then install the new software. After the first launch of the new CDAT, a new user CWF settings directory will be created automatically with the same structure but containing a new set of default settings. Then, you can copy your desired customized files back to their original locations in the user CWF settings directory. (A) New features in v3.2.2 pre-release (build330): New features related to Coral Reef Watch data in the v3.2.2 pre-release (build330), after the CWF V3.2.1 official release updated on Nov 24 2006, include: * Corrected problem with box survey in CDAT. The rectangle created during a box survey did not accurately reflect the pixels being surveyed. This problem was only noticeable at high magnification factors. * Fixed overlay group loading problems in CDAT. * Added data reference overlay in CDAT. Data reference lines let you annotate the data view with lines at regular row and column intervals. * Added drop shadow rendering in line overlays in CDAT. (B) New features in v3.2.1: New features related to Coral Reef Watch data in the v3.2.1 official release, after the CWF V3.2.1-pre-release (build233) updated on 19 Jun 2006, include: * On Windows/Linux/Solaris, Java is now included in the download * Better Mac OS X support * On-the-fly units conversion in CDAT * Reformatted and more accessible help system * Faster application startup * A subtle change that may affect some users is that the preferences directory is now stored at an operating system specific location: Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\CoastWatch Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/CoastWatch Unix: ~/.coastwatch Please see CoastWatch's Software and Utilities webpage http://coastwatch.noaa.gov/cw_cwfv3.html for additional information and the V3.2.1 User's Guide Appendix D for a full list of new features and bug fixes. *************************************************************************** NOAA Coral Reef Watch Jan 15, 2007
