2001-2013 Annual Composite HDF Data Files *
* For the detail on our HDF data format, please read the description on our HDF data webpage. The free CoastWatch Data Analysis Tool to view these HDF data files and perform data analysis can be downloaded from that webpage. Note: the file size is up to ~500KB for a single variable HDF data file, ~3MB for an all-in-one annual HDF data file, and ~2MB for an all-in-one monthly data file.
** An all-in-one HDF data file contains all the available composites for the selected time frame.

The images and data posted on this web page are composites of NOAA Coral Reef Watch's operational twice-weekly global 50 km satellite coral bleaching monitoring products. A monthly composite is derived from the corresponding data from all the twice-weekly periods that end in the month. An annual composite is derived from the corresponding data from all the twice-weekly periods that end in the year. Current year year-to-date composites are derived from the corresponding data from all the twice-weekly periods starting from the beginning of the year to the past month in which all of its twice-weekly data are available. They are updated each month when the monthly composites are produced.

To learn more about the related operational twice-weekly products, please go to the corresponding product pages that are linked in the "Near-Real-Time Data" category in the navigation bar on the left and check out our detailed product methodology web page.
